Random Mechanical Failure other then normal wear and tear. Aw yes, the thing that will take a truck from 60 miles an hour and 95% condition to 30 miles an hour and 46% condition just out of the blue. They suck.
First thing you need to know about the trucks max condition is, as you drive it, it will depleat. Even without the RMFs. But the lower you max condition gets, the more RMFs you'll have. What can you do about it? Well first of all to save money on your repairs in genral, purchase the tool box from the purchase items menu. It's on 5%, but that can add up. Next, look thru the purchase items for anything that says improves trucks max condition. Now don't buy them all at one time. The thing about these items is that no matter what you buy to improve the trucks max condition, you get it to 100% and that's as high as you'll get it. As the parts you purchase become worn, the max condition will begin to drop again. That's when you start lookin for the next condition improving part. The better condition of your truck, the less money you'll spend on repairs. The less money you spend on repairs, the more you put in your pocket.
So remember with fuel more is less, with repairs less is more.
